To help limit the spread of COVID-19, we will also be offering private sessions by video call as well as in-home consultations.
Giving you the best head-start on raising the ultimate companion dog! Heavy focus on socialization, enrichment, health, development, handling, and off-leash skills. Our classes are very different from most and will teach you how to raise your puppy to be a mentally, physically, and emotionally healthy dog.
Once you have completed Puppy 1, now is the time to focus a little more on some obedience training, enrichment, and tricks! We help guide you through one of the most problematic periods of your dogs life to help prevent more serious issues as adults!

Schedule doesn't work with our class schedule for obedience? We do private sessions! Everything covered in Adult Obedience all at your convenience!
Interested in starting a dog walking business? Looking for more information to improve your existing business? We offer an affordable and comprehensive seminar that covers topics such as dog body language, dog interactions, contracts, by-laws, business administration, client meets (humans and dogs), basic obedience, and more! All in one 8 hour seminar!

With 2 highly qualified trainers and almost 2 decades of experience between them, Muttheadz is dedicated to providing the most fun and educational force-free classes, private sessions, workshops, and seminars in Calgary and area.
We believe your life with your dog should be easy and enjoyable. Our classes are geared towards developing the ultimate companion dogs who are relaxed, happy and healthy so both you and your dog can get the most enjoyment out of your time together. To keep things fun and stress free, we use reward-based training techniques that are backed up by science. Reward-based training has been shown to be an efficient and effective method of training, and creates a strong bond between you and your dog while building your dogs confidence. Our goal is to teach owners how to understand, train, and connect with their dogs to have the best relationship possible.
MEET
THE TRAINERS
Katie Nielsen, BSc, CPDT-KA
Katie has been working professionally with dogs since 2014. She holds a CDPT-KA certificate through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, and a PACE certificate through the Cochrane and Area Humane Society. With experience in class instructing, private training, training in a shelter environment, and supervising both puppy and adult group play sessions, she has a broad range of knowledge and skills to help with a variety of different issues. Katie is especially interested in the areas of dog-to-dog interactions and puppy development. She is the proud owner of one amazing rescue dog who is a keen learner and always keeps her on her toes!
Lisa-Marie Campbell, BA, CPDT-KA
Lisa has a genuine passion for communicating with canines and has been working exclusively in the pet service field for over 10 years. Being the proud owner of two rescue dogs, she not only has a true understanding of the bonds we form with our pets, she also has the skills required to help owners build and maintain a healthy and mutually respective relationship with their pet. Lisa held the position of Behaviour Coordinator at the Cochrane and Area Humane Society. She also taught obedience classes and supervised their dog socialization program. Lisa is also PACE and CDPT-KA certified.
